Become a volunteer counsellor 

CCIWBS is an integrative counselling service and we welcome applications from a wide range of backgrounds. 

 

Counsellors must either be qualified or be in a formal training programme and have at least 70 supervised client hours. Relevant experience in another role may be transferable.

If you are a counsellor in training, hours worked with CCIWBS may count towards your formal training hours. We offer our counsellors supervision in line with BACP training requirements.

Update 12 Feb 2025

We are now accepting applications for counsellors working in a voluntary capacity and the application deadline is midnight on Monday, 21 April 2025. Shortlisted candidates will receive an invitation to be interviewed by 5 pm on Friday, 25 April.

Please note we have a very limited number of placement spaces available. Due to the high volume of applications only short-listed candidates will be contacted.

The recruitment process is two-fold:

• Interview on Tuesday, 13 May from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

• Introduction to Counselling at CCIWBS on Saturday, 17 and Sunday, 18 May from 10 am to 1:30 pm
